Waste Management remains an issue of national concern in Bhutan, particularly in the urban areas. Currently, waste treatment, recovery, and recycling are minimal. As a result, our land fills are overflowing with waste that can easily be value added. The National Waste Information Management System (NWIMS) is one of the initiate to address these issues by having proper reports of waste and proper planning using this digital platform.
